Probably not, unless they abandon the House of Kim and embrace the House of Bernadotte

I read a story like this somewhere, and IIRC most of the Swedish national debt is from the accumulated interest of DPRK not paying for the Volvo’s.

Uh... how is something they’re owed count toward their national debt? Either way, this number’s a whole lot bigger than what they lost back then to North Korea, even with inflation (and wouldn’t those be individual company losses, not the government’s?) - https://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/sweden
Interesting how these old diplomatic relationships affect who has access so many years later, though.
Just need to send Rodman in to swap basketballs for nuclear warheads...

Found the article to go with that assertion. You are correct about my national debt statement. It was poorly worded. Meant to say the reverse.
The Volvo’s are worth some much now due to interest.

I think the odds of them getting any of that money back are somewhere between zero and NULL.

They could certainly do worse. And already are, actually.
